DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Detroit Lakes High School student, Kate Stearns has been selected as the Detroit Lakes Public Utilities student scholarship award winner.
Stearns’ winning essay describing the benefits of the local electric utility to the community’s well-being earned her a $750 scholarship by the Detroit Lakes Public Utilities; She will now be eligible for a state scholarship of up to $2,000.
