Disgruntled Brewing in Perham Announces Closure

Apr 8, 2022 | 1:07 PM

PERHAM (KDLM) – Disgruntled Brewing in Perham has announced that they plan to close.

The craft brewer opened in February 2016 in the industrial park in Perham and had become well known throughout the midwest for its assortment of hand crafted beers.

The brewery had gone through a number of changes recently, most significantly Brett Doebbeling, the former co-owner and head brewer left Disgruntled in November of 2017 and then opened a new brewery, Drastic Measures, 24 miles down the road in Wadena in 2019. The COVID-19 Pandemic also added to the losses as bars, breweries and restaurants were forced to temporarily close per state mandates in an effort to alleviate the spread of the disease. “The losses of the past couple of years have taken a toll,” the brewery said in a Facebook post.

The brewery’s final day in business is planned for Sunday, May 15. They’ll plan to release a special farewell IPA as well as host a farewell party.
