Economic Development Summit will Feature Five New Lakes Area Businesses and Organizations

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce will give an update on the economic health of the Lakes Area on Friday.

The annual Economic Development Summit will be held at 9 a.m., Friday at the Holiday Inn in Detroit Lakes feature presentations from local leaders; SCORE, a business mentoring and development company; West Central Initiative; representatives from the city of Frazee and Detroit Lakes; and a number of new businesses that will be opening in the area this year.

Carrie Johnston, President of the Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce says this year’s theme is about growth, “We’ll be talking all about the growth, there’s so much new in ’22. We’ll be featuring new businesses and organizations, Diethrich Family Farms in Vergas, Bluebird books in Downtown Detroit Lakes, Sanford Equip, the new brewery in Detroit Lakes – Bucks Mill Brewery, and the DL Baseball club. We’re really excited to talk about all the great things happening in the region.”
