Perham’s Dave Cresap Wins 8AA Coach of the Year

PERHAM, MN (KDLM) – Perham Boys Basketball coach Dave Cresap has been named the Section 8AA Coach of the Year.

Cresap’s Yellowjackets won the Section 8AA title as the three-seed in this year’s tournament. Perham entered the tourney 14-10 after a huge win over 8AAAA school Bemidji in the final regular-season game of the year. Perham beat Crookston and Hawley in the first two rounds of the playoffs, then upset two-seed Pelican Rapids and top-seed Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton to win the program’s fifth section championship since 2011.

 

 

The announcement comes less than a month after Perham’s girl’s basketball coach TJ Super won the 8AA Coach of the Year.
