HAWLEY (KDLM) – One person is dead after a structure fire near Hawley, Saturday.
Fire Officials says just after 1 p.m., Saturday multiple Fire Departments were called to a fire at 26627 43rd Ave. N in rural Clay County.
After battling the blaze, construction equipment was brought to the single family residence to clear debris where an adult male was discovered. Believed to be the homeowner, the body has been transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiners Office for positive identification.
The cause of the blaze is unknown, the incident remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal.
