DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Kylie Johnson has resigned her position on the Detroit Lakes School Board as she takes on a new role with the District as their new Human Resources Director.
Johnson was first elected to the school board in 2014 and was in the middle of her 2nd 4-year term.
“It feels very strange for me not to fulfill the remainder of a term and leave it unfinished, but I can’t think of a happier reason to be walking away,” said Johnson during the Detroit Lakes School Board meeting on Monday.
The District moved to appoint Tom Seaworth to serve the remainder of Johnson’s term which is set to expire, December 31, 2022.
