PERHAM (KDLM) – The top two teams in the Heart O Lakes Conference met in Perham on Thursday night and the Yellowjackets picked up the win and the Heart O Lakes Championship for the season, by a 71-61 win.
Willow Thiel had a game high 20, with Olivia Pilgrim getting 19. For the Nuggets both Faith Rustad and Kylie Crabtree lead by the way with 14. Hawley was down by 19 at one point in the second half.
Perham improves to 18-5 and Hawley falls to 16-4. These two teams meet again next Friday in Hawley.
Faith Rustad was the Muscatell Burns Ford MVP of the game.
