MINNEAPOLIS, MN (KDLM) – The Frazee Fly Girls Dance Team has advanced to the State Finals at the 2022 State Jazz Competition.
“It’s a huge weight off of our shoulders,” said assistant coach Becky Matejka. “These girls have worked so hard and I’m so proud that they get to dance in the finals.”
Coach Matejka only needed one word to describe this morning’s performance: beautiful.
“These girls went out and delivered. They overcame their nerves and emotions: we have four seniors this year. Now we’ve got to come back out in a couple of hours and deliver another great performance.”
Frazee will dance for the Class A Championship at 5:30 tonight. They will be the first of six teams to perform. Along with Frazee, Zumbrota-Mazeppa, Yellow Medicine East, Cannon Falls, Lac Qui Parle Valley/Dawson Boyd and St. Cloud Cathedral will all dance in the Class A Finals tonight.
