MnDOT Announces ‘Name a Snowplow’ Winning Names

ST. PAUL (KDLM) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has announced the winning names of their name a snowplow contest.

Betty Whiteout, Ctrl Salt Delete, The Big Leplowski which will be assigned to the Lakes Area as well as five other names will join the state’s snow fighting fleet.  MnDOT says 60,000 votes were cast in the second year of its contest.

The winning names, in order of vote totals, and their future homes are:

Betty Whiteout – District 8
Ctrl Salt Delete – District 7
The Big Leplowski – District 4
Plowasaurus Rex – Metro District
Scoop Dogg – District 3
Blizzard of Oz – District 2
No More Mr. Ice Guy – District 1
Edward Blizzardhands – District 6

Last year, winning snowplow names included Plow Bunyan, Snowbi Wan Kenobi and Plowy McPlowface.
