WADENA (KDLM) – Wadena-Deer Creek’s (WDC) women’s basketball team will host a ‘Go Gray for Gary Night’, Monday.
Both home and away fans who attend the women’s basketball game tonight are encouraged to wear gray to show support for Gary Packer, who was diagnosed with brain cancer recently.
Packer, the father of Madison Packer, a senior on the WDC basketball team was recently placed in Hospice Care. “The Packer Family has been great supporters of our Wolverine Community and Teams and we want to show our support for them,” said Norm Gallant, WDC Athletic Director/Dean of Students.
Additionally, there will be a free will offering chili feed, split the pot drawings and a silent auction at the game with all proceeds going to the Packer Family.
