FERGUS FALLS (KDLM) – Doug Walvatne, the Otter Tail County Assessor has announced he will retire after 37 years of service.
Walvatne began employment with the Otter Tail County Assessor’s Office in 1985, first as an office technician then two years later moving to an appraiser position working in the Fergus Falls area. In 2010, he began his service as County Assessor. As an appraiser he was responsible for assessing taxes on more than 64,000 total parcels.
March will be Walvatne’s last month with the County and a retirement party will be held to thank him for his many years of service to Otter Tail County.
