DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Dangerously cold temperatures have returned to the Lakes Area.
A Windchill advisory has been issued Wednesday at Midnight and will remain in effect through noon on Thursday.
Temperatures will continue to fall and bottom out Thursday morning. Wind chills will hit 30 below to 45 below zero. The National Weather Service says, temperatures will rise Friday with a chance for light snow, then drop again Saturday.
The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. You’re advised to use caution while traveling, especially in open areas.
