DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – For the first time Detroit Mountain will host a women’s only event.
Women Take the Mountain will be held, Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at Detroit Mountain allowing area women a chance to gather for a night at the slopes. The event will be held at the Mountain’s Ace’s Wild Saloon and feature complimentary hors d’ouevres, mulled wine, ski lessons and rentals and a women owned vendor expo.
“We’ll have a lot of small business owners and vendors setup, so you can do some holiday shopping,” said Meghan Eastman with Detroit Mountain.
Tickets for Thursdays event are $10 and available at the door. The Mountain plans to hold similar events on the third Thursday of each month throughout the winter months.
