Detroit Lakes Football Awarded All-State Academic Honors, Four Players Named All-Conference

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – After a 6-4 season and an appearance in the 8AAAA Championship Game, four Detroit Lakes football players have been named All-Conference, and three more have been named All-Conference Honorable Mention.

Senior quarterback Bradly Swiers, senior running back Christian Solberg, senior wideout Ty Jones, and junior running back Ethan Carrier were all named to the All-Conference Team at the team banquet on Sunday, November 21st.

Senior lineman Jacob Ehnert and Marcus Lyman, and junior lineman/linebacker Brock Okeson were named All-Conference Honorable Mention.

Solberg was also awarded the Conference Special Teams Player of the Year, and Swiers was the recipient of the Adam Thielen Award.

26 Laker football players were also named All-Academic Conference: Logan Hilde, Bradly Swiers, Cade Jackson, Mason Carrier, Ethan Carrier, Jake Pavek, Hunter Korth, Reece Borgmann, Jack Pace, Tyson Ullyott, Ty Jones, Breck Winter, Tyler Ostlie, Christian Solberg, Chris Breeden, Cody Bartness, Brock Swiers, Charlie Zok, Waylon KeKatz, Brayden Sjoblom, Ty Haus, Brock Okeson, Will Martin, Connor Zamzo, Ryan Peterson and Evan Thomas. Each student currently has a 3.7 GPA or higher.

Detroit Lakes was also named 4A All State-Team Academic with a 3.17 GPA.
