Detroit Lakes FFA Students Receive Awards in Leadership will Compete in State Competition

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Several Detroit Lakes FFA students received awards in leadership this week.

The Leadership Development event was held at Northland Community & Technical College in East Grand Forks, MN, Wednesday.

Participating FFA members from around the region in grades 7 to 12 were challenged to develop critical thinking skills and effective decision-making skills, foster teamwork and promote communication while recognizing the value of ethical competition and individual achievement.

Hannah Baumgartner placed 1st in Employment skills and will now compete in the state competition.

Detroit Lakes’ Parliamentary Procedures team scored 1st and will also compete in the state competition. Participants included: Hannah Baumgartner, Tobias Muff, Makayla Baumgartner, Logan Muff, Mikayla Engum, and Gregory Simons.
