DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – After unseasonably warm weather in the Lakes Area, the National Weather Service is forecasting snow this week.
Rain will arrive Wednesday and then low pressure will develop to the east and intensify Thursday and drag colder air southward accompanied by rain changing to snow.
The highest accumulating snow chances are Thursday night into Friday morning, however the intensity of the snow and how much snow is still questionable, as it depends on the strength and location of the developing low and how much moisture will be wrapped back around the low.
Early forecasters are predicting 2 to 4 inches of snow in the Lakes Area.
