LAKE PARK (KDLM) – Lake Park-Audubon School District voters approved both bond referendums for a proposed $23 million school construction project, Tuesday.
Unofficial vote totals came in at 546 yes votes to 316 no votes to approve $21.63 million in renovations and new construction at the elementary school in Audubon.
The second referendum was also approved 539 yes votes to 342 no votes for an additional $1.33 million in improvements to the Career and Technical Education and collaborative spaces at the high school in Lake Park.
“We are thrilled with these results! Thank you to our community for your support of our District and participation in this election. We’re excited for the opportunities the LPA Pave The Way plan brings to our students, staff, and local residents,” the District said on Facebook.
Construction is tentatively scheduled to start within the next two years.
