LAKE PARK (KDLM) – Lake Park-Audubon School District voters will go to the polls, Tuesday to determine the fate of a proposed $23 million school construction project.
Two referendums will be voted on, the first, $21.63 million in renovations and new construction at the elementary school in Audubon. “We have an elementary school that was built in the 1950s and we’re finding it doesn’t meet the capacity we need for our growing enrollment and it’s not necessarily ADA compliant. It’s just time to renovate and build a better building for our students,” said Tim Godfrey, Lake Park-Audubon Superintendent.
Voters will also decide on an additional $1.33 million in improvements to the Career and Technical Education and collaborative spaces at the high school in Lake Park if the first referendum passes.
