DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Detroit Lakes residents plan to remember babies who were stillborn or died in the first four weeks of life, Friday.
A Wave of Light ceremony will be held at the Angel of Remembrance Statue located south of Essentia Health-St. Mary’s in Detroit Lakes.
Every year, more than 1.2 million babies are stillborn or die in the first four weeks of life. The Wave of Light is events occur across the globe and aims to raise awareness and unite communities through remembrance ceremonies held simultaneously around 7pm on October 15th.
The Detroit Lakes event is open to the public and you’re asked to bring a flashlight in place of candles for this service.
