NISSWA, Minn. – Crow Wing County authorities say one of the scenarios they’re investigating is that a man charged with murdering a woman in a resort cabin near Nisswa might have believed the victim was someone else.
Sheriff Scott Goddard indicates one possibility is that 29-year-old Cameron Moser of Brainerd intended to shoot the daughter of the former owners of Cozy Bay Resort, but instead killed 46-year-old Bethany Bernatsky — which the families of both women say is possible.
The sheriff didn’t disclose a possible motive.
