Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – Brad Bachmann, the owner of popular Lakes Processing, has passed away at the age of 56, according to a Facebook post from the business.
Bachmann and his wife, Sarah, started Lakes Processing in 1997 and over the next 25 years established the processing shop as one of the best in the area.
“He learned his trade through trial and error and advice from the meat cutters who came before him,” says the post. “Brad did not hesitate to express his respect for the knowledge he gained from them. His hand-written recipes will be his lasting legacy for all the years to come. Each recipe was taste-tested and fine-tuned to meet Brad’s satisfaction. Through those tedious efforts, he was a respected meat cutter in the industry and awarded for it accordingly.”
