DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – A Celebration of Heritage, #IAMBECKERCOUNTY kicks off Tuesday as Becker County celebrates 150 years.
Events are planned throughout the week with the first being a presentation at the Detroit Lakes Public Library on Tuesday with author Hudda Ibrahim as she discusses her book, “From Somolia to Snow”.
Wednesday the Becker County Museum will be hosting a Downtown History Tour starting at 11 a.m.
Thursday’s events will include a show at the Historic Holmes Theatre as well as a Community Celebration hosted by the United Way of Becker County at the Detroit Lakes Pavilion.
The celebration culminates in a full day of activities on Saturday at the Detroit Lakes Pavilion with craft demos, live music and a beer garden says Becky Mitchell with the Becker County Museum, “It’s a little variety of everything, it’s a family friendly event from 3-7 p.m.”.
