WADENA (KDLM) – A COVID-19 testing supply shortage has impacted the Lakes Area.
Tri-County Health Care has reported that they are currently experiencing a shortage of COVID-19 testing supplies and others health care facilities in the region are also experiencing a shortage. Rapid tests have been significantly impacted.
The issue is said to be caused by an increase in demand as well as lack of supply because one of the largest rapid testing manufacturers stopped production earlier this year.
Health officials across the area hope rapid test availability will increase in the coming months.
