Select Businesses In Washington Square Mall To Re-Open On Sunday

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – Two days after sections of the Washington Square Mall was damaged by an apartment fire, select stores are set to reopen their doors.

The Washington Square Mall announced on Saturday that a few stores will be able to re-open on Sunday, September 12.

Three restaurants inside the mall will open for lunch on Sunday: Pizza Hut, Don Pablo’s, and Chinese Dragon. Cinemagic Cinema 7 will also open at noon on Sunday. 180 Balance Hot Yoga will open at 4:30 pm.

The mall was sustained smoke and water damage as firefighters fought a fire in the apartments above Mattson’s Barber Shop and The Pink Buffalo on Friday afternoon. The stores are expected to be total losses. The mall is still working on cleaning up and expects more businesses to open on Monday, September 13.

Mall patrons are asked to use the doors adjacent to the mall parking lot.
