Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM)-
Sapphire Sushi, Hibachi, and American Cuisine in Detroit Lakes has temporarily closed after it was hit by a vehicle on Wednesday evening.
Around 4:45 pm, a customer picking up a to-go order accidentally hit the building while exiting the parking lot.
The Detroit Lakes Police responded and temporarily closed the building as a precaution to make sure gas lines weren’t hit. The staff at Sapphire got the all-clear and decided to keep the restaurant closed for the remainder of the evening to allow workers to begin fixing the exterior of the building.
Rayna Tucker, the owner of Sapphire, anticipates being open for regular business hours on Thursday, September 9th.
