VERGAS (KDLM) – The Goodman’s Supermarket building in Vergas is be demolished.
The building and lot were purchased recently by the owners of Zitzow Electric and Franklin Fence. After demolition of the building a new multi-use building will be constructed which will include a grocery store, full service salon and gym. The project is will also include seven apartments on the second floor with an additional handicap accessible apartment on the first floor.
Goodman’s Supermarket, the only grocery store in the small town of Vergas closed its doors Oct. 16, 2016 after being in business for more than 40 years.
