MINNEAPOLIS (KDLM) – A Hawley native will suit up for the Minnesota Vikings this year.
The Minnesota Vikings claimed tight end Ben Ellefson off waivers from Jacksonville, Wednesday.
Ellefson, a native of Hawley signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He appeared in seven games for Jacksonville last season, playing 133 snaps on offense and hauling in one catch on four targets for 10 yards.
Ellefson starred at North Dakota State for four seasons from 2016-19, racking up 35 catches for 463 yards and 16 touchdowns, a program record for tight ends.
