Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Adds Nurse Practitioner

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Nurse Practitioner Susan Ross has joined Essentia Health St. Mary’s-Detroit Lakes as a hospitalist as well as a family medicine provider in urgent care.

As part of the hospitalist team, Ross will care for patients who are hospitalized due to illness or injury. Her work in urgent care will include providing an intermediate level of care for illnesses and injuries that are not life-threatening but may need x-rays or lab tests.

“Working in nursing for over 20 years, I understand the importance of evidence-based practice,” shares Ross. “I have always been impressed with the emphasis that Essentia places on evidence-based practice and community.”

Ross earned her degree at the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D. and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
