Minnesota State Fair Will Not Require Masking or Proof of Vaccinations

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KWNO) – The Minnesota State Fair will not require attendees to wear masks or provide proof of vaccination.

State fair organizers strongly urged patrons to mask and get vaccinated in a statement released Wednesday. Organizers will also not require attendees to show a negative COVID test result to enter the fairgrounds, but strongly encourages those who have not to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

As for masking, the fair recommends masks for everyone over the age of two indoors, in outdoor crowded spaces, and in vendor booths that are requiring vaccines.

The statement also referenced federal rules that require masking on public transportation. The fair kicks off on Aug. 26.
