DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The 23rd Annual Detroit Lakes Heart Walk will take place in Detroit Lakes on Thursday.
The event serves as a fundraiser to help support the American Heart Association raise funds for heart and stroke research in the Lakes Area. “There will be a 1 mile route and a 5K route and if you want to walk it or run or if you’re not able to walk, we’re still asking that people come out and help support,” said Jessica Lundren the event organizer.
This year’s walk will be held at the Detroit Lakes Pavilion with registration beginning at 5 p.m. and the walk at 6 p.m. with a fundraising goal of more than $30,000.
More information is available at the Detroit Lakes Heart Walk webpage.
