FRAZEE (KDLM) – Construction continues on a 26-mile road project from Frazee to the Becker-Wadena County line.

Over the last few weeks, crews have finished up the culvert replacements between County Road 31 and County Road 33/County Road 115, and now continue working east along Highway 87 toward Evergreen on additional centerline pipes. The rest of the culvert work can be done with lane closures, so local traffic should be cautious and prepared to stop when traveling in the work zone.

Shoulder widening operations continue and crews will be pouring approach panels and railing, and installing guardrail in the coming weeks for the bridge over the Otter Tail River.

If you live in Frazee, you can still access Highway 87 in front of the Frazee school up to North River Drive. The barricades are up at CR 29/Birch Avenue to ensure thru-traffic follows the detour. The work zone begins after North River Drive. Highway 87 is impassable at the Otter Tail River, between North River Drive and Main Avenue East. You’ll need to find an alternate route around the bridge site.

If you live in Menahga, you can access Highway 87 in town. The barricades are up at Highway 71 to ensure thru-traffic follows the detour.
