DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – CEO and WE Fest Director Matt Mithun has given country music fans a sneak peek of the festival’s proposed pit that will get festival goers closer to the stage than they’ve ever been.
WE Fest has made significant upgrades to the facility ahead of this year’s festival next weekend including making the general admission area larger and 200 feet closer to the main stage, improved sight lines and additional food options, but a soon-to-be created pit area already has fans excited for 2022.
The sunken pit will be immediately in-front of the stage between the thrust out main ‘T’ of the stage layout. “Very importantly the VIP seating view won’t be blocked at all because it’s sunk down,” said Mithun.
Pit passes will go on-sale next weekend during the festival and Mithun believes they’ll likely sell-out pretty quickly.
This year’s WE Fest will be held August 5-7 at Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes featuring headliners Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley and Blake Shelton with special guest MC, Kellie Pickler.
