DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Due to the heavy wildfire smoke in the area, Becker County Sheriff Todd Glander is encouraging motorists to drive with their lights on.
Visibility has been reduced and lights even during daylight hours are helpful. Daytime headlight use is highly recommended during adverse weather conditions, such as fog, smoke, rain, snow, sleet, or when visibility reduced.
Drivers should treat the wildfire smoke just as they would in dense fog, any other type of inclement weather so your vehicle can be seen.
