Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – After 22 seasons as the head coach of the Detroit Lakes Boys Golf team, Bob Gorden has decided to call it a career.
Gorden, who coached the golf team to three state titles, made the announcement on the Detroit Lakes Boys Golf Facebook page on July 15th.
“My wife (Diane) and I will have our 45th anniversary on the 31st, and I have been coaching our entire married life,” Gorden wrote. “Time for Diane!”
The Laker Boys Golf team won state titles under Gorden in 2008, 2011, and 2012 and were state runner-up in 2013, 2018, and 2019.
