Haze in the Lakes Area is Smoke from Canadian Wild Fires

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – What’s causing the unusual amountof haziness in the Lakes Area sky? Smoke.

Canadian wildfires have been burning across the central and western parts of the Canada, and the smoke has traveled to the lakes area.

The smoke is located far in the upper atmosphere and is responsible for the vibrant colors at sunrise and sunset.
