Minneapolis, MN (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes High School Band performed that National Anthem at Target Field before the Minnesota Twins faced the Detroit Tigers on Friday, July 9th.
Band director Tim Siewert and 75 members of the DLHS band performed in front of nearly 22,000 people, which is the largest crowd Target Field has seen in its first week of 100% capacity crowds following more than a year of crowd restrictions due to COVID-19.
“We’re very excited and ready to go!” Siewert said before the game. “We have about 75 band members performing, and well over 200 total people going!”
The Twins beat the Tigers 4-2.
DLHS last performed at Target Field on August 24, 2019.
