ST. PAUL, Minn (KFGO) – Flags will fly at half-staff Friday in Minnesota in honor and remembrance of DNR Conservation Officer Sarah Grell.
She died in the line of duty after a vehicle crash near Grand Rapids on Monday at age 39.
Governor Tim Walz says Grell was an outstanding conservation officer, who was highly regarded and respected by her colleagues and her community. Grell spent 16 years with the DNR.
Her visitation and funeral are Friday in Grand Rapids. Her father, grandfather and uncle were also conservation officers.
