DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The Washington Avenue and North Shore Drive roundabout which has been closed since May 3 is scheduled to reopen Wednesday, May 26 at 7pm
In April the Detroit Lakes City Council approved adding additional signage, crosswalk markings and raised pavement markers around the island of the two newest roundabouts in Detroit Lakes.
Efforts by the City to educate drivers on common roundabout errors including disregarding yields and braking while in the circle have improved traffic flow, the City now hopes the additional efforts will reduce potential safety issues.
