DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – A reported robbery at Bremer Bank in Detroit Lakes was a false alarm.
Detroit Lakes Police were called to Bremer Bank on Monday just after 4:30pm after receiving a report of a robbery at the bank.
“The individual that called in the report had started some significant medical treatment,” said Detroit Lakes Police Chief Steve Todd. “It appears the medications caused him to imagine or hallucinate.”
Crews surrounded the bank for some time, blocking traffic in downtown Detroit Lakes before clearing the area.
