WALKER, Minn. (KFGO) – A one-year-old boy has died in a duplex fire near Remer in northern Minnesota.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrived shortly before 2 a.m. Fri. to find the duplex engulfed in flames.
Deputies were able to get a woman out of the home from a bedroom, while another woman and three children were able to escape before responders arrived. The boy’s body was recovered after the blaze was out.
The state fire marshal’s office and Leech Lake Tribal Police are investigating.
