A Detroit Lakes woman is starring in a new film bringing awareness to drug addiction.
Melissa Paakh told KVLY TV in Fargo that the film dives into the realities of addiction which she has seen first-hand, “My cousin passed away six years ago of opioid overdose, his mom made wristbands for everyone that said, action for positive change saves lives.”
The film, “Beauty of Warmth is based on true events revealing the hardships of opioid abuse. The film is slated to debut at several film festivals later this month.
