DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – More than 200,000 Minnesotan’s driver’s license extensions will expire next week (March 31).
14 DMV locations across the state including the location in Detroit Lakes have been open on Saturdays since Feb. 20 to help with the influx of renewals.
The Detroit Lakes location will remain open this Saturday, March 27 from 8am-4pm in an effort to help. Renewal applications are received on a first-come-first-served basis and no appointments are required.
Additionally those that don’t need to make changes or upgrade to a REAL ID can renew online at drive.mn.gov.
