DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – A Farmers to Families Food Box distribution will take place in Detroit Lakes, today.
Nearly 900 cars came to the Farmers to Families Food Box distribution in Detroit Lakes in February and 1,300 units of food were given away.
Because of the crowds, organizers will use Soo Pass Ranch on the WE Fest grounds. The event begins at 5 p.m. Cars will need to use the east entrance to the grounds to enter and can begin to lining up on the southbound County Road 22 shoulder at 4 p.m.
“We have about 2,700 boxes of food and milk to give out, we have a lot of boxes to hand out so we’re wanting people to show up,” Mel Manning an event organizer said.
In addition, there will also be a drawing for free WE Fest tickets at the event.
