WASHINGTON D.C. (KDLM) – Several area housing authorities have earned grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to put toward capital investments in their housing units.
HUD is awarding more than $2.7 billion in Capital Fund Program grants across the U.S. and its territories; nearly $39 million in grants are earmarked for Minnesota communities.
Public housing authorities can put the funds toward building, renovating or modernizing public housing, including energy efficiency and water conservation measures.
