DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The City of Detroit Lakes has announced that there are only 30 small sailboats remaining for their 150 Sails Up Project.
The City of Detroit Lakes will celebrate their 150th Anniversary this summer and plan to display 150 sailboat sculptures throughout the city in a community wide art project.
Local artist, Hans Gilsdorf designed the sculptures which will be decorated by local artists.
Small sailboats are still available for order and can be purchased by local businesses and organizations as well as residents to be displayed throughout the community this summer.
