DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Several Polar Fest events this weekend have been cancelled or postponed because of cold temperatures.
Friday’s Ice Tee Golf and Laser Tubing at Detroit Mountain have been cancelled.
Saturday’s Freeze Your Buns Run has also been canceled, though a virtual run is still available. The Poles N Holes Fishing Derby has been postponed for a second time and is now scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 20. The Kool Kites on the Lake event has also been moved to Saturday, Feb. 20.
Additionally, the Sweetheart Snowshoe Trek that was scheduled for Valentine’s Day at Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge has been moved to Sunday, Feb. 21.
