DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes City Council unanimously approved a resolution, Tuesday to refund liquor license fees for businesses in Detroit Lakes for January and February due to the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic.
“They’ve [businesses] been closed up and cut back, the refund for two months amounts to a total of $11,836.67,” Ron Zeman said.
The council approved a similar resolution on Dec. 8, 2020 which refunded liquor license fees for January, February, November and December, 2020
The move is a continued effort by the city to help bars and restaurants that have been struggling with ongoing state restrictions limiting indoor dining to help curb the spread of COVID-19 throughout the state.
