MSHSL Approves Schedule for Winter State Tournaments

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM)-

In a board meeting on Thursday, February 4th, the Minnesota State High School League Board of Directors has approved plans for winter sports state tournaments. State competition hasn’t been held since the COVID-19 pandemic halted the Girls State Basketball Tournament last March.

Key dates for winter sports include:

Alpine Ski – March 10, Giants Ridge in Bibawik

Nordic Ski – March 12, Giants Ridge in Bibawik

Dance – March 12-13, Edina High School

Boys Swim/Dive – March 18-20, University of Minnesota Aquatic Center

Wrestling – March 25-27, at high schools to be determined

Gymnastics – March 26-27, Champlin Park High School

Girls Hockey – Quarterfinals March 26-27, Finals April 1-3 @ Xcel Energy Center

Boys Hockey – Quarterfinals March 30-31, Finals April 1-3 @ Xcel Energy Center

Basketball – Quarterfinals March 30-31, Semifinals April 6-8, Finals April 9-10 @ Target Center
