BATTLE LAKE (KBRF) – Around 4:19 early Sunday morning, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office received a report that the Corner Store located at 28045 Co Hwy 145 in Battle Lake, MN (next to Ottertail Lake) was burglarized and multiple amounts of merchandise totaling a high dollar amount had been stolen from the store.
After arriving on scene, Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Deputies began an investigation which included evidence at the scene and tracks which led them to the residence near the Corner Store.
Inside the residence Sumoor Wieser, Casey Goins, Carter Goins, and Austin Dague-Huntington were questioned and detained. A search warrant was executed at the residence, and deputies were able to recover most of the stolen merchandise from the Corner Store.
The four suspects were arrested for charges including 3rd Degree Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property, Theft, and Receiving Stolen Property, and taken into custody at the Otter Tail Detention Center.
Deputies were able to recover an estimated $4,000 worth of merchandise that had been stolen from the Corner Store.
